In June, a Swiss class sent a video message to their environment minister Doris Leuthard who got the message at the UN suststainability conference in Rio. Now, the YES course participants in Serbia answered – and created a fun video answer (with an even funnier Making Of at the end)!
During 17 intense days, young people from all over the world got to know the many facets of sustainability in the YES course 2012 (Youth Encounter on Sustainability) in Serbia: Lectures, group works, poster presentations and movies about e.g. the challenges of water privatization, monetary mechanisms, the potential of smart cities and organic farming and courageous social entrepreneurs were eye openers for all the participants.
In June 2012, a high school class from Basel filmed a movie in the context of the myclimate project „Hot Stuff Climate Net“. In their movie, the young adults urge the Swiss minister of environment, Doris Leuthard, to convince their international partners during the Rio +20 conference on sustainable development to decide reliable climate commitments – or their climate card house with many individual actions and wishes will break down. Doris Leuthard got the message personally!
After having watched the movie, the participants of the YES course recorded an answer-movie: They are presenting in short funny spots what their climate present is so the climate card house will not break down. Enjoy!
